We started Purpose Bureau because ESG, Finance, and Procurement teams were being asked to make complex climate and human rights claims without reliable data. Too much work relied on manual spreadsheets and self reporting. We knew there was a better way.

From complex data to confident action
Purpose Bureau was founded by Nick Kamper in 2021 to make ESG data credible, fast, and useful. Inspired by the way credit bureaus used financial data, we set out to do the same for ESG – building a system grounded in verification and transparency.
We built a platform that brings together real world ESG intelligence, verified data, and risk signals to help organisations measure, monitor, and act on value chain risk at scale.
Today, our team includes ESG specialists, data scientists, technologists, and operations professionals who are passionate about responsible business.
